Devlog #1

This week, I made some significant progress on the MLP card game, and honestly, I’m really excited about how things are shaping up! What started as a simple hobby project has officially shifted into a prototype, and depending on the support it gets, it might even become a full-fledged project. It’s wild to think how much this idea has grown in such a short time, but here we are!

So far, I’ve designed 220 cards in total, each with unique effects, and came up with 50 different keywords to bring some variety and depth to the gameplay. It’s been really fun figuring out how all the pieces fit together and imagining how players will strategize with them. I also experimented with four different card designs this week to see what feels right for the game’s tone, including a mock-up for legendary ponies using Rainbow Dash as a base. On top of that, I wrote down the rules. Having a structure feels great, it’s starting to feel like an actual playable game now (Even if there is no game yet). There’s still plenty to refine, but getting the foundation in place feels like a big step forward.

Next up, I plan to work on more mock-ups and start sharing them on Facebook, Discord, and some MLP communities. Once I get feedback and refine the designs, I’ll polish them into something final. After that, I’ll dive into creating the cards art, which is going to bring the whole game to life.

You all have been a huge help, and I’m so grateful for your ideas and support. Also, a massive thank-you to my friends who pushed me to take this beyond just an idea and helped me see the potential for something bigger.

This is still the beginning, but it’s already been a super rewarding journey. I can’t wait to share more updates soon, so stay tuned!
