Devlog #3 [ENG]


This week has been a bit slower due to commissions and other commitments, but I’ve still made some exciting progress on the MLP CCG! Here’s what I’ve been working on:

16/12/2024 

 I designed King Sombra’s set, introducing a new keyword and mechanic that perfectly capture his dark and manipulative nature

Keyword: Enslave: Enslaved creatures have Round End: Deal 1 to me and grant enemies on play +1/+1

Sombra’s gameplay revolves around persistence and domination. When he dies, he summons a Crystal Pillar. After three turns, the Crystal Pillar is destroyed, and King Sombra is summoned once again

If you can successfully enslave the enemy board, your creatures will become unstoppable, overwhelming the opponent with sheer power and resilience

17/12/2024

Unfortunately, I didn’t make any progress on the game today as I spent the day working on a commission. It’s likely I’ll be busy with commissions for the next few days as well

I made improvements to the game’s rules, clarifying some mechanics and refining the structure to ensure smoother gameplay

19/12/2024

To further solidify the game’s foundation, I created a flowchart for the rules. This will be useful when it comes to logic programming later on, as it lays out the game’s mechanics in a clear and organized way

I’ve been working commissions and other responsibilities at home. To end on a creative note, here’s a sneak peek at a drawing I’m currently working on for  u/Demon-oh-sh1t- on Reddit!
